Clinical Purpose of the Procedure
The TURP Bipolar Set is a comprehensive surgical solution designed for the effective treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) through transurethral resection of the prostate using bipolar energy. It integrates advanced bipolar electrosurgical systems, visualization equipment, precision instruments, and essential disposables to ensure safe tissue resection, superior hemostasis, and controlled irrigation. This set enhances procedural efficiency, patient safety, and clinical outcomes in urological interventions.
Evolution of TURP Technology
Prostate resection techniques have evolved significantly from monopolar TURP systems requiring non-conductive fluids to advanced bipolar TURP technology using saline irrigation. Traditional methods carried risks such as TUR syndrome and fluid imbalance. The introduction of bipolar systems has improved safety, providing better hemostasis, reduced complications, and enhanced surgical precision. Modern TURP sets now enable efficient prostate resection with faster recovery and improved patient outcomes.
